Welcome to the Workshop 2012 Conference Schedule. This is where you can learn about all of the presentations and learning opportunities at Workshop. You can create your schedule by selecting the sessions you are interested in participating in. Your selection is not a reservation for that session, but rather, a simply way for you to create and view the sessions you hope to attend.
At this session, participants will see the structure and implementation of the Northern Valley Curriculum Center (NVCC). This program, shared by eight school districts in Bergen County, provides curriculum writing and alignment, as well as a Professional Learning Course of Study and a 3-Year New Teacher Academy. Information will be provided on funding, logistics, and collaboration throughout the consortium of school districts. Moving forward, the NVCC will embed learning related to the Common Core State Standards. In this session, strategies for both the Common Core Standards and the upcoming PARCC (Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers) assessments will be discussed.
